The websites of National Statistics offices contain a good source of information on how the national accounts are compiled as well as macroeconomic data sources.

Information on the Bank of England’s macroeconomic model can be found at www.bankofengland.co.uk/publications/other/beqm/index.htm.

A very good source of material on the EMU and UK entry is the HM Treasury website: www.hm-treasury.gov.uk.  In particular, HM Treasury, UK Membership of the Single Currency: An Assessment of the Five Economic Tests.  There are also 18 papers on a variety of subjects by academic economists that are free to download.

Two good websites for data and readings on economic growth are the World Bank and the Penn World Tables, which can be found at:
